First Post!

I have recently been introduced to the blogging world and had never actually considered creating my own blog for a few reasons. I consider myself a pretty private person, rarely talking openly about my personal (or professional for that matter) life. Ask me about my education or my job search in real life and I will do my best to change the subject as quickly as possible. I also don't feel like I am particularly creative in what I have to say or could contribute to the blogging community.

However, with a little encouragement from my wonderful boyfriend, who did an excellent job of convincing me that I do indeed have something relevant and interesting to say, I have decided to take the plunge into the blog-o-sphere. Who knows, perhaps my creative side will find its way out through this (if not through my words, than certainly through my experiences).

I think this is pretty good for a first post. Very soon I will come back with a little bit more about me. For now, it's a holiday weekend and we're off the celebrate the great weather and the fireworks. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!
